The Pindad PM2 is a submachine gun manufactured by Pindad of Indonesia. To meet the need for anti-terrorist and weapons of war at close range, PT Pindad challenged one of the military top brass to make PM2, a submachine gun that is claimed to have the ability to exceed the MP5. Ironically, there is no government intention to buy PM2. Luckily, overseas markets actually interested in buying the rival MP5.

Pindad has successfully produced PM1 under license from Beretta. Some products PM1 used among soldiers. While PM1 modification used by police and rangers.

PM2 is a submachine gun based on assault rifle Pindad SS2 with major modification. PM2 can meet the needs of a weapon for urban warfare. In fact, Pindad successfully develop non-lethal weapon that can chamber rubber bullets used by riot police.
